Attending SMK Hua Lian's Interact installation Night

Report : The occasion started at 6.30pm with the arrival of guests from various schools. The highlight of the night was the passing over authority from the outgoing Board of Directors followed by entertainments, awards of achievements and lucky draw. The night ended with the presentation of souvenirs and finally singing the school rally.

Interact Club o SMK ST George's 44th Installation Night

Report : The 44th Installation Night started at 6.30pm with the arrival of guest and interactors from other schools. After the arrival of guest of honour, we had our opening ceremony. The occasion was then continued by the singing of National Anthem and Interact Anthem. After that, speeches were given by the Organizing Chairman and the President of the Rotary Club of Taiping. Then, dinner was served with performances by the interactors. At 8.30pm, we continued the programmes with the speech by the outgoing president who later installed the incoming president. Speech was conveyed by the incoming president after the installation of the new board of directors of the term 2009/2010. The event was followed by the award presentataion, lucky draw and presentation of souvenirs to the guest of Honour and invited schools. Finally, the occasion was ended with the school rally and song Auld Lang Syne. The 44th Installation Night had been carried out successfully.

Helping On I.D.P Day.

Date : 20th and 21st September 2009
Time : 10am-2pm for 20th and 2pm-6pm for 21st
Venue : Ground Floor of Taiping Central
Participants : Interactors of SMK St George, SMK King Edward, SMK Hua Lian.

Report : The event started at 10am-2pm for 20th September and 2pm-6pm for 21st September. We were divided into several groups. 2 groups were formed. One group were helping at 20th and another group were helping at 21st. Our job was sent the peace message for public and ask them to write down the message that they wanted to transmit. Cakes and water were provided by the Rotarians.

Interact Leadership Training Seminar 2009 (ILTS)

Date : 27th September 2009
Venue : SMJK Hua Lian
Time : 8.00am-1.30pm

Report : Registration was done at 8.30am. We were asked to await for the arrival of Rotarians. As all arrived, the roll call is held by the New generation Director, PP M Mahendran, welcome speech by the President of Rotary Club of Taiping, represented by PP Ling Peng Tong, and the presentation of souvenirs to the principal of SMJK Hua Lian.
After the agenda, the group photo session was held followed y the first session. It was about " What is Interact" and their administration. At 11.00am, workshop sessions were held in two separate classroom, one or presidents,vice-presidents,secretaries and assistant secretaries, plus treasurers. Meanwhile, the other classroom was for the Directors. After that, it was the closing ceremony. We ad our lunch. We were dismissed at 1.30pm.

NOVEMBER 2009

The Campaign " I Love Taiping"

Date : 6th November 2009
Time : 8.00am-11.00am
Venue : Burmese Pool
Participants : 90 Renjers , Interators from SMK Hua Lian, SMK ST George, SMK King Edward, Member o T.O.R.C and Rotarians.

Report : All the interactors gathered at the Burmese Pool at 8am sharp. We were required to register ourselves for the event. Breakfast was provided by the Local Agenda 21. Before we had our breakfast, we were invited for a photo session with the MPT representative and the NGOs and the other interactors as well. at 0900 hours, the event was flagged off by the Yang Dipertua. we were divided into several groups. 2 groups were formed, one group went to the Burmese Pool and the other went to the Maxwell Hill. The cleaning session was a success with the help of Renjers ( from the ATM division ) and interators. Overall, the event ended at 1115 hours.

Ice cream Sales

Report : Our club organized an ice cream sales in our school canteen. the organizing chairman or this sale is Int. Teh Hoay Yean ( Clu Service Director). the sale was carried out successfully with profit of RM398.20.

Mesyuarat Bagi Pesta Makanan Di SMK Hua Lian

Laporan : Mesyuarat diadakan pada 2nd April 2010 bagi membincang tentang Pesta Makanan yang akan diadakan pada 1st May 2010. perbincangan diadakan untuk menentukan apa yang hendak dijual pada hari tersebut. Cadangan yang akan diterima ialan menjual buah-uahab dan float. pihak Rotarian memberi9 cadangan untuk menjual 'acar'. Kesimpulannya, keputusan diambil untuk menjual buah-uahan dan float pada 1st May 2010. Mesyuarat ditangguhkan pada 1.30pm.

Lawatan ke Rumah Orang Tua ST.John

Laporan : Kelab Interact telah mengadakan lawatan ke rumah orang tua pada 6th April 2010 yang lepas. Seramai 25 orang ahli Interact dan 2 orang guru mengikut rombongan ini. Tujuan lawatan ini ialah memberi khidmat kepada warga emas yang menginap di rumah orang tua ini. Selain daripada itu, kita juga berinteraksi dengan mereka.

Di antara aktiviti yang dijalankan di sini :
1) Menyuap makanan/minuman kepada warga emas
2) Mencuci tungkap/cermin di Rumah Orang Tua
3) Mencuci ambulans dan motosikal.
4) Mebantu membawa pesakit dengan kerusi roda
5) Menghiburkan penghuni dengan nyanyian lagu dan persembahan.

Piahk pengurus Rumah Orang Tua, Mdm. Woon amat berpuas hati dan sangat gembira dengan kehadiran kami. Penghuni di sini amat gembira dengan sumbangan kami. Pihak Orang Tua ini megalu-alukan kehadiran kami pada masa yang akan datang.
